Last August I finally went for a hearing test at one of the big chains. Test went ok and it was obvious there was hearing loss. I was subsidised by DVA for a basic hearing aid. They said there'd be a $300 extra charge for the charger. As the audiologist ran through the costs, his voice started to shake and he began to stammer, it felt excruciating, as though something was uncomfortable. I didn't go back it was too expensive. Another 8 months passed and I found falls of sound in maroochydore near bunnings. The receptionist was so kind and detailed. I arrived and the premises was like walking into a classy zen space. My audiologist named Indie was proficient, honest and smart. She wasn't flogging me anything. I was clear that I needed hearing support for work and home life. I left with my new subsidised hearing aids and charger, they were fitted and I could already hear better. I have a follow up in a few weeks. Im SO glad I found them. If you or a loved one needs hearing support, this place is full service with integrity. I hope to help at least one person with the review because it made the world of difference to me 😊

Love these guys. They have got me set up with bluetooth-free hearing devices in a professional manner. Katia, Anthony and others I have dealt with along the way have all been excellent.

Rather disappointed unfortunately. I was told I only had a little bit of wax in one ear and the other ear was clean. Still charged $130 for apppointment and wasn't even shown what had come out of my one ear. During the clean she hurt inside my ear and then told me not to move. I advised she had hurt my ear right down inside which caused me to jump. This to me felt like she had gone too far inside my ear which should never have happened. She showed me the item she was using which looked more like the metal funnel tool you use to write with icing on a cake. Clearly it was inserted too far. The tech said that there was no point doing a hearing test to check if the clean helped because she only removed a very tiny amount of wax. I'm wondering why she didn't say I don't actually need the clean if the amount was that tiny. I feel the whole appointment was unprofessional. My suggestion is perhaps check with an ENT about getting ears cleaned, or a doctor to do a referral. Better safe than sorry.

The staff at Falls of Sound are really delightful & helpful. When you enter the office a friendly face is there to greet you. Nothing is too much trouble. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to my friends & family.

I walked in totally deaf in one ear and walked out able to hear. Extremely grateful and so happy with the services provided . I called in the morning and was offered an appointment that afternoon so appreciative. I felt very welcomed and comfortable. The ladies were fantastic and very professional and I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. I will be coming here from now on.

Absolutely incredible!! I had an ear wax suctioning with Kristina, she was amazing. It took a while to remove the wax, but she was persistent! Years ago I went to Earworx to try and get the wax removed and they said it was too hard and that I should go see a doctor (DO NOT GO TO EARWORKS), so after that experience I felt discouraged. However over the last week I had loads of pain in my left ear and the doctor told me I had loads of wax build up I had to get it suctioned out. Kristina got all the tools out and was very confident and encouraging. She explained to me some details about my ear structure and could tell that my ears had been operated on when I was younger. We spoke about my ear/hearing history and she provided valuable insights. When she removed the wax I was so happy I almost cried as it had been causing me pain for over a week, and had been years and years of build up. I can hear better today than I have been able to hear in years. She also did a free hearing test and I found out my hearing actually isn't too bad and she didn't recommend any hearing aids or anything yet. So helpful to know! The clinic is new, stunning and a calm place to be. Just genuinely really really good service. I'll am so happy I found a calm place to go for my ear health/hearing on the coast. Honestly did not think I would be leaving such a great review about ear wax removal but I am so impressed and grateful! Thank you Falls of Sound!!

Contacted Falls of Sound to try to find a suitable appointment time but as a stay at home mum with 3 young children that's usually really difficult but I explained my situation to the friendly receptionist and she was able to get me in for an apt the same day! I had my apt with Antony and he was very friendly, thorough and explained everything really clearly. The free hearing test was also an additional bonus so that was great. Pricing for the apt was very reasonable. Great service so would highly recommend the team at Falls of Sound.

I have been cared for by obliging staff for approximately a decade. The service that I have received has been exceptional on every occasion If I could award more than 5 stars I certainly would. Highly reccomended

On 17 October 2024 I had a hearing test conducted by Riley at Falls Of Sound's Maroochydore branch: he was on time, he explained everything in clear, simple English as he checked the state of my hearing. His testing was comprehensive & unhurried, and was able to answer all of my questions. When it was established that hearing aids would help me, he went through the features and benefits of the models that might suit without pushing me in any particular direction as regards a brand. I felt that he didn't talk down to me & that my needs were of importance to him. This was an excellent experience for me, and I unhesitatingly recommend Riley & the team at Falls Of Sound as committed & caring hearing professionals.

The BEST service. Always available to obligingly adjust, clean check hearing aides at a moments notice. Been going to Falls of Sound for over 4 years and could not recommend them more highly. Also very happy with hearing aides they suggested. Love the fact that they are independent audiologists that can sell all the brands.

Had a great experience today with Riley and the team from Maroochydore branch. Riley spent a lot of time explaining the results of my hearing test and showing me how to use the Signia app and to care for my new 7IX hearing aids. The world is a new and much better place! :)

I personally found this an unpleasant and painful experience for an ear wax removal. Interestingly these private clinics are not run by audiologists but have the equivalent training of an enrolled nurse.

I had an auditory test this morning, very happy with the time & care taken by Abigail. I suffer from Tinnitus and my visit was largely based around obtaining information re same. Previous visits to an ENT specialist were not helpful at all. Thank You ‘ Falls Of Sound ‘ for the insight today ..

What an absolutely amazing team, just a great atmosphere and friendly service. After a horrendous morning waking up to find I cannot hear anything from my right ear, I panicked and spent 3 hours waiting at the hospital just to be told that it appears I’ve gotten a wax impaction and they can’t do anything to assist me. In a panic I called around to try and find anywhere ASAP that could assist me as the pressure and pain was unbearable. They worked around their schedule and made time for me even knowing I have never been to them prior. Within 30 mins I was feeling better than I was before and also found I had an infection that was needing treatment. I personally think the price they charge is too cheap for the service they provide. Couldn’t recommend them highly enough 😁

called into this office 15 minutes before they closed for long weekend. Helped me out immediatley and fitted another receiver for my phonak hearing aid prompltly and without charge. doesnt get any better than that. full marks to the girls for their efficiency and friendly disposition

Kristina is lovely makes you feel very comfortable. Ive had a couple of visits with her for my ear wax removal which is a much more pleasant experience by suction as i suffer vertigo and the old style ear syringing makes me feel very nauseas. Kyra the receptionist is also very lovely.

The team were extremely professional, were able to accomodate my busy work schedule, ran through a complete hearing check and diagnostic and explained everything to me in a way I was able to understand. Thoroughly recommend. I suffer from wax build up in my ears from being in the water a lot, have visited a few audiologists for wax removal. Falls of Sound were the first to really fix the issue and help me manage my ears ongoing. Great staff, very professional and great to deal with.

I received amazing and compassionate care from Kristina at Falls of Sound. I was very kindly squeezed in with a protracted blocked ear that was driving me nuts. Kristina was ever so gentle during the procedure which was painless. Instant relief and no further problems post procedure. I cannot speak highly enough of the professional service I received from both her and Kyra and have no hesitation in recommending this business to anyone else with ear or hearing issues.

Many thanks to the staff at FoS Maroochydore for suggesting I try the new Signia 5x hearing aids. One of the first things I noticed at home was the clock on our family room wall (that we have had for 30 years) has a tick. Been like that since we got it said my wife and I heard her say it! Performance in noisy areas is much better than previous models I've had and I now feel much more included in social gatherings and meetings. At my woodwork club I can now carry on conversations even with loud machinery noise. The feature I really enjoy is streaming from my iPhone. I can now make phone calls without the fear of not understanding the person on the other end. I find I'm using the phone much more to contact friends and businesses because of this confidence. And of course listening to radio, music, podcasts etc is so much better without having to wrestle with headphones and earbuds. Thanks for your great service too.

Had 2 hearing test with different providers over 2 years. Went to Falls of Sounds for an annual hearing test 1 week ago and found the testing, service and feed back amazing. The testing was extremely thorough and more comphensive than previously experienced with other providers. Falls of Sounds is a full service enterprise - testing, free hearing aid trials plus full technical and service support for hearing products. Highly recommend.

Many hearing aid providers now work in a closed system where they only service and support devices they have sold. This proved a real problem for my elderly father who had purchased his in his home country. Finding Falls of Sound was a real boon! They were happy to assess him, service his hearing aids, give a range of recommendations and support and all for a very reasonable price. Having worked in the hearing aid industry, I can spot a shonky operator a mile away. These guys are above board, providing high levels of quality service in a pleasant and friendly environment. Highly recommend this independent, local operator.

I am so excited with the difference hearing aids have made to my life. Within myself I feel more balanced. It took a while for me to decide which aids would best suit my lifestyle and the fact I was not pressured into a particular model or price range was important to me and I was able to try the different models at my own pace over quite a few weeks. I noticed as you age the ear wax deposits seem to become more frequent. Taking ear drops and getting the ears flushed out takes time and I found doesn't totally fix the problem. So now I go once a year and they get all the wax out in no time with a suction method. Easy as ABC. I have no hesitation in recommending Falls Of Sound..
