What Happens in a Hearing Check?
Hearing checks are quick, painless and potentially life-changing. Like a check up with a doctor, you should consider having an annual hearing check. After all, if you’re suffering from hearing loss, the sooner you get a diagnosis, the better.
With more than 20 years of experience in audiology, Claire brings extensive clinical expertise and a strong passion for patient-centered hearing care to the team at Connect Hearing. After graduating from the University of Melbourne in 2004 with a Master of Audiology and an undergraduate degree in Psychology, Claire began her career as a paediatric audiologist at Monash Health in Melbourne, specialising in diagnostic hearing assessments for infants and children.
Following two years in paediatric audiology, Claire joined Phonak in the UK, working in audiology education. In this role, she partnered with NHS hospitals and private practices to support hearing aid fittings and provide educational training for audiologists across a variety of clinical settings.
Since returning to Melbourne, Claire has spent 18 years with Connect Hearing, initially working as an audiologist in our Dandenong clinic before progressing into the role of Clinical Coach in 2023.
As a Clinical Coach, she supports and mentors' audiologists to deliver high-quality, evidence-based hearing care and gold-standard clinical practices. Her role focuses on clinician training and development, guidance on complex cases, professional mentorship, and maintaining consistent clinical excellence across teams.
Claire is particularly passionate about holistic hearing care, clinician education, mentorship, and fostering confidence in audiologists to help achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
