I strongly advise you to Stay Away from Connect Hearing in Blacktown. I have a severe incurable bilateral hearing loss. I had an appointment with Christinia Lynch one of their audiologists some time ago. After 10 minutes of talking to me, she took me to see one of their male audiologists in the adjacent room. Then while he was testing my hearing 10 minutes into the session/test she so rudely and abruptly stormed into the room again and started talking to the male audiologist again for almost 5 minutes which due to my condition I couldn't hear and she had turned her back on me during all this time. Then the male Audiologist went out and Christina took over the job again. After another 15 minutes or so, he came in again and she went away. Then after another 15 minutes or so they repeated the same thing again, all the time rudely turning their back towards me and talking between themselves as though I did not even exist. This whole bizzare testing behaviour took almost 1.5 -2 hours (instead of the normal 45 minutes) and was quite exhausting and stressful to me as a patient. They also did not have a separate room for testing and they made me sit next to them while they carried out the test. The test result also did not look anything like my previous test and seemed inaccurate and inconsistent to the set up of my good quality hearing aids which had been adjusted for a totally different hearing loss level, and of course I am always quite comfortable with my hearing aids' settings. The way they treated me was awaful and very disrespectful. It seemed everything else had priority over my audiology test. They made me feel cheap and worthless, exhausted and very stressed and did not do a good job in testing my hearing. Christina in particular was rude, dishonest and psychlogically manipulative.
B.T.W. since I had forgotten Christina's name, I went back there on another occassion, gave the receptionist (Leslie) my details and asked her to tell me the name of the audiologist, and she refused to give me the name and in front of another patient she told me very rudely and arrogantly "what is your problem?" and "You transfered your details to another audiology and are no longer a client of ours" !!! Well firstly I had every right to know which audiologist saw me (i.e., Christina), secondly I had every right to complain being mistreated by all of them specially by Christina, thirdly Leslie was rude and unprosessinal and denied me my right to have my appointment information. Fourthly, Of course I will transfer my details to another audiology and won't be your client anymore, because you mistreated me. What do you expect?
and I strongly believe there was an element of racism and also discrimination based on physical features here as well.
Later after returning home I managed to find Christina's name & details on her business card which I took from their front desk on the day of the appointment, and so I managed to provide these accurate details in this feedback. This is no way to treat any human being let alone a hearing impaired patient/client !!!
I will never go back there again and I strongly advise everyone else also to stay away from these people. They are unprofessional, unethical ,rude, manipulative and incompetent. I would give them a zero star rating on google if I could, but google only allows for a minimum of 1 star rating.
Shame on you.
