Andrew Glynn
Andrew has a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from RMIT University, and a Masters in Clinical Audiology from Macquarie University, Sydney. He has been an Audiologist since 2005 and has travelled across Australia, and the UK within the private and public sectors of Audiology.Andrew was raised in country Victoria. “Everybody helped each other out in times of need. I’m all about helping people within the community. Audiology has allowed me to educate and empower people (within the local community) and help them take control of their hearing loss. It’s great to work with those who want to hear“ says Andrew. He now works at a hearing center near Melbourne, in Camberwell. Andrew says: “What I like best about Camberwell is seeing so many people motivated, and willing to do something about their own hearing loss”.Anne Lester
Anne has worked in Audiology all over the world. She received her MS in Audiology in 1997 in the US and worked at the University of Miami for three years concentrating in Paediatric Audiology. Anne then worked in private practice for 6 years in the US, NZ and finally in Australia. She also found time to travel to improve her Spanish, French and Greek speaking skills! Anne is passionate about what she does, with hearing loss affecting her close to home. “My father has an industrial related hearing loss and the impact on family and friends is something I personally relate to. I feel the impact of how a hearing loss affects family and friends is often overlooked’. Anne gets a real buzz working with clients at the hearing center in Melbourne, ‘It’s great getting to know people individually, I get to hear some great stories!” Claire Rundell
Claire graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2003. She worked as an audiology educator in England for two years before returning to Australia. A highlight of Claire’s career has been being able to complete charity work in Fiji which involved fitting hearing aids to profoundly deaf children and adults. Claire is passionate about what she does, “I have always enjoyed working with people. I love being part of the hearing process and am committed to helping people achieve their hearing goals”.
Claire loves working in the Dandenong and Pakenham community, and enjoys meeting the wide variety of people every day.
Claire’s top hearing tip is, “patience and persistence brings great rewards.”
Sam Camilleri
Sam’s background originally was in sales and management however 18 years ago he decided on a career change to audiometry. The idea of helping people overcome their hearing difficulty was personally both appealing and rewarding to Sam. He still feels good today when he witnesses the positive reactions of people he helps. Sam enjoys his work, “I find the field interesting, over the past 18 years there has been many improvements in technology and I enjoy applying these benefits to people with hearing problems”
Sam’s top hearing tip is, “The key to using hearing aids successfully is understanding. Understanding the process of adapting to sound, and understanding the time frame to get there.”
Keith Chittleborough
Keith graduated from Melbourne University and holds a masters in audiology. He has worked as an audiologist in both private hearing center clinics as well as at Royal Melboune. He chose to work in audiology “to contribute ethically to society.”
Keith enjoys the community atmosphere of Dandenong as well as the “diversity of cultural backgrounds.” He also enjoys the “music and sport” of Melbourne!
Keith’s top hearing tip is to “protect hearing when working in noise.”
