Andrew Dickman

AndrewDickman_GaysArcade-MtBarker-MurrayBridge.jpgAndrew has worked in the hearing industry since 1997, has attained a Diploma in Audiometry and is a member of the Australian College of Audiology. 
Andrew chose Audiology as a career path because he is “able to assist others in getting more enjoyment from being involved again in life.”
Andrew loves working in the local community, “The attitude of most people in appreciating all the goodness that South Australia has to offer and the camaraderie evident of people volunteering to assist others in time of need”.
Andrew’s top hearing tip is, “acclimatization to hearing devices occur best with progressive, increased use to gradually retrain the brain about how sounds are to be perceived."

Andrew Schultz


Andrew-Shultz.gifAndrew has been in the industry since 2003. He has achieved Certificate 4 in Audiometry, Office of Hearing Services Statement of Attainment and a Diploma of Hearing Device Prescription and Evaluation.
Andrew has grown up around audiologists. “Mum was a Nurse Audiologist – like her I enjoying helping and achieving good outcomes for motivated clients so when I was offered a traineeship I jumped at the opportunity.
Andrew loves living and working in his local community. “The fantastic beaches at Glenelg and Christies Beach……but don’t go out too deep! (Jaws!!!)”
Andrew’s top hearing tip is “Musicians should wear Phonak Muso Plugs as they maintain high frequencies whilst attenuating. These can turn down the fiercest drummer!”

Michael Dimitri


Michael-Dimitri_GaysArcade-MtBarker-MurrayBridge.jpgMichael been working in the industry since 1986 and for Connect Hearing for the last three years. He recently passed his Diploma in Audiometry thus attaining the highest level of expertise available in Australia for Audiometrists. 
Michael aims to help people become part of the community again. “To see the smile (and sometimes the tears) of a person who has long been denied the gift of hearing is a great thing’, Michael explains.Michael loves working in the local community, “The people of Adelaide, Murray Bridge and Mt Barker are always friendly, down to earth and readily accept advice and instruction on hearing related issues.”Michael’s top hearing tip is “perseverance is the key to being successful with hearing aids, we must teach the brain to accept sound again“.

Claudia Kadow-Griffin


Claudia.gifClaudia completed her studies at Flinders University in South Australia to become a fully qualified Audiologist. She has five years of full time clinical experience including working alongside respected Ear, Nose and Throat specialists.Claudia is also trained to complete child hearing tests. She counts one of her highlights of her career as being able to “make a difference with all types of people to improve their quality of life. Claudia says “personal experience growing up with hearing loss and knowing some of the frustration and isolation related to having hearing difficulties provided me with the motivation to strive to be the best hearing specialist. It makes a difference to see people regain their love of life and ease back into their everyday activities without straining. Claudia enjoys the community spirit that is prevalent in her local community. “Through our community education promotions,
we are able to interact with members of the community. We see a strong and helpful spirit which helps to reduce the amount of isolation caused by hearing loss.” Her top hearing tip is “what compares to good hearing? Don’t wait, see a Clinician who cares about you sooner rather than later.”

Stephen Dimitri


Stephen_Dimitri_Marryatville.jpgStephen started his Audiometry career in 1990 by joining his family business - Adelaide Hearing Aid Specialists. He became accredited by the Government Office of Hearing Services as a qualified Audiometrist practitioner and recently completed his Diploma in Audiometry. Stephen is a member of the Australian College of Audiology (ACAud) and has now been working with Connect Hearing since 2006 as a Clinician and Regional Manager for SA.
Stephen knows that what he does makes a real difference in people’s lives. “Over the years I have witnessed first hand how debilitating and socially isolating hearing loss can be. It not only affects the person who has the hearing loss, but all those around them as well. As an Audiometrist I can help the hearing impaired and families live a normal life again.”
Stephen’s top hearing tip is “have someone get your attention before they start speaking to you, and watch their faces for visual cues and expressions to help you hear and understand what they are saying.”
