Henry F, 76 - talks about life with the Audeo S III
“I started losing my hearing a while ago, and got a hearing aid straight away, but I wasn’t impressed. I tried two different ones and found they both had a lot of distortion and there was a lot of background noise. My only option seemed to be to just accept my hearing loss, so I felt frustrated and quite depressed. I soldiered on for a bit with the better of the two hearing aids, but eventually gave up.
It was a grim thing to have to admit defeat. A lot of things changed – I didn't feel completely safe outside and I started to make excuses to avoid spending time with friends and family, it wasn't a good way to live.
Someone mentioned Connect Hearing to me and I decided to contact them because I was sick of feeling left out and was getting more short tempered with everyone. After a lot of discussion, tests and assurance that not all hearing aids are the same, I felt confident enough to try the Latitude 16.
And it was a whole new experience. I don't have any distortion, it adjusts the sound to fit different places I go. And it's tiny and a lot easier to use than the ones I'd had before. It's nice to be able to live a better life again. I can leave the house and not worry about loud crowds or where traffic is coming from. And now I feel so confident in conversations, it's me bugging my kids and friends to catch up all the time.”
